GP Partner Announcement

1st April 2022 - We are also delighted to announce that Dr Jock Barge, who many of our patients will be familiar with as a salaried GP for the practice since early 2020, has agreed to become a GP Partner- further assisting us in stabilising and developing our services as we look forward from the COVID pandemic. After graduating in Glasgow in 2009 and as a GP in 2020, Dr Barge came to us with extensive experience in Emergency Medicine as well as General Practice and has worked in a humanitarian capacity overseas. We warmly congratulate and welcome him also.

Lochgilphead Medical Centre are delighted to announce that Dr Andrew Barlow has joined the Practice as a full-time GP Partner on 28th February. Dr Barlow comes from a background in the Defence Medical Services as a GP and after graduating in Scotland in 2007 and qualifying as a GP in Birmingham in 2017 has worked in the UK and overseas, most recently in Cyprus. Dr Barlow has specialist interests in sexual and reproductive health and in General Practice research and education- we are sure he will be a great asset to our team!
